ABSTRACT
The Report on scientific and research work contains 107 pages, 16 tables, 36 figures, and 47 used literary sources.
The object of the study is rocks, minerals on the territory of the Ukrainian shield, standard samples of rocks.
The purpose of the work is to determine the content and distribution of rare earth elements in the granitoids of the western and central part of the Ukrainian Shield. Development of an effective method of sample preparation of samples of granites, rock-forming and accessory minerals in the microwave field.
The optimal physical and chemical conditions for decomposition and dissolution of rocks and minerals using microwave radiation have been established. The optimal composition and concentration of solvents was determined.
The distribution of rare earth elements from rocks and minerals of the Dniester-Bug, Ros-Tikich and Ingul megablocks was studied. The studied distribution of REE in apatites from xenoliths of metamorphic rocks of Berezny and Tivr strata (Dniester-Bug megablock) revealed a gradual change in the total amount of REE from the central parts of the xenoliths to the contacts with the host granitoids and in the granitoids themselves. On the basis of these studies, it was concluded that the xenolith of metamorphic rocks of the Berezny Formation is a substrate for the granitoids of the Berdychiv Complex, and the xenolith of metamorphic rocks of the Tyvriv Formation is not such a substrate for the enderbits in contact with it, but is a dike formation.
A significant part of the REE in the studied diorites of the Haisyn block of the Ros-Tikich megablock of the Ukrainian shield megablock is concentrated in accessory minerals, primarily in monazite, xenotime, and apatite. In the latter, REE are concentrated in monazite inclusions, which are considered as a result of solid solution decomposition.
Fluorite is one of the main accessory REE-concentrating minerals in the granitoids of the Ruska Poliana massif of the Ingul megablock of the Ukrainian shield. Its role as a concentrator of lanthanides increases in the most differentiated gray-pink fine-medium-grained granites. It was found that the high level of REE in fluorites from these granites is associated with small acicular inclusions of bastnesite.
