Establishing areas of gold- and diamond-bearing metasedimentary rocks of the Belokorovytsia structure of the Ukrainian shield based on the study of diamond, native gold and related materials

ABSTRACT

Report on scientific and research work: 148 pages, 50 figures, 18 tables, 98 references.

The object of the research – native gold, diamond, garnets, chrome spinelides, picroilmenites, chrome diopsides, zircons and other mantle and crustal minerals from the Proterozoic conglomerates and sandstones of the Belokorovytskyi structure of the Volyn megablock of the Ukrainian shield.

The purpose of the work – determination of geological and genetic types of root sources for gold and diamond placers associated with conglomerates and sandstones of the Belokorovytskyi world and forecast of the areas of their occurrence.

Research methods – trace-mineralogical, crystal-morphological, electron-microscopic, ontogenic, electron-probe, spectroscopic, mass spectrometric.

Special attention is paid to the results of the research of typomorphism of morphology, chemical composition and physical properties of mantle and crustal minerals, crystalline inclusions in them and their paragenesis.

Taking into account the typomorphic features of the studied mantle and crustal minerals, the geological and genetic types of the original sources for gold and diamond placers of the Bilokorovytsia structure were determined. On the basis of a comprehensive study of accessory mantle and crustal minerals, a forecast was made regarding the areas of their main sources and the directions of deposition of terrigenous material in the Bilokorovytsia Depression.

The results of the NDR can be used in gold and diamond prospecting.

The work has scientific-theoretical and practical significance.
