Geological and geophysical forecast of promising areas within the eastern Azov region (rare metals and rare earth elements) and the Kirovohrad geoblock (noble and radioactive metals)

ABSTRACT

Research report: 62 pp., 25 fig., 36 references.

The objects of the study are zones of manifestation of alkaline metasomatism in the Eastern Azov region and zones of manifestation of metasomatism in the Kirovograd megablock as targets for mineral exploration.

Goal of the work. To identify areas promising for the search for endogenous ore occurrences of strategic mineral resources within the Eastern Azov region (rare metals and rare earth elements) and the Kirovograd megablock (noble and radioactive metals) using geoelectric (magnetotelluric) methods.

As a result of the work, areas were identified that are promising for the search for ores of REE, gold and uranium, and their predictive geological and geophysical assessment was carried out within the Azov and Kirovograd blocks of the Ukrainian Shield.

The results of the work will be used for predictive geological and geophysical assessment of areas with manifestations of endogenous tool and metasomatism zones within the Azov and Kirovograd blocks of the Ukrainian Shield with the construction of schematic metallogenic maps of areas promising for the search for ore occurrences of mineral-strategic resources.
