Solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the M.P. Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation of the NAS of Ukraine on the occasion of Science Day

May 23, 2023 in the small conference hall of the M.P. Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation. Semenenko of the NAS of Ukraine held a solemn meeting of the Academic Council on the occasion of Science Day.

The meeting was attended by Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Volodymyr Pavlyshyn with a scientific report "Some Episodes from the History of Stone in Ukraine in the Context of the Exhibition "Stone Products" for the Day of Science" and Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Mykhailo Taran - "Spectroscopic Study of the Electronic Transition of Fe²⁺ Ions from High to Low Spin State in Siderite and Lithophyllite under Pressures Occurring in the Conditions of the Earth's Lower Mantle".

During the meeting, a presentation of the exhibition "Stone Products" was held. The organizer was the Department of the Mineralogical Museum named after Academician V.I. Vernadsky – Head of the Department, Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Volodymyr Pavlyshyn, Senior Researcher Nataliya Cherniyenko, Junior Researcher Larisa Solomatina.
