The publishing house "Scientific Thought" of the NAS of Ukraine published the monograph "Diamonds of Ukraine" in 2024. The author is Viktor Mykolayovych Kvasnytsia, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Diamond-Bearing Problems of the M.P. Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation of the NAS of Ukraine.

The monograph presents the results of research into the mineralogy of diamonds in Ukraine: division into geological and genetic types, distribution, main ore occurrences, age of diamond-bearing rocks, features of diamonds from Proterozoic and Neogene terrigenous deposits. Placer mantle diamonds are variable in morphology, anatomy, carbon isotopic composition, concentration and degree of aggregation of nitrogen centers, and types of mineral inclusions. Impact diamonds from meteorite craters and Neogene terrigenous deposits of Ukraine are paramorphoses of graphite crystals, having similar phase, morphological, anatomical, isotopic, and structural characteristics. An atlas of diamond crystals of various natures is presented.

The monograph is written for a wide range of geologists, mineralogists and crystallographers, as well as for specialists in other fields of science and technology who study diamonds and artificially obtain them.

Diamonds from Ukraine were studied in terms of their separation into their geological and genetic types, distribution and occurrence, the ages of their nature in Proterozoic and Neogene age sediments. The placer mantle diamonds are variable in morphology, internal structure, carbon isotopes, concentration and degree of aggregation of nitrogen centers and varieties of mineral inclusions. Impact diamonds from meteorite craters and Neogene sedimentary deposits of Ukraine are paramorphoses from graphite crystals with similar morphological, isotopic and structural characteristics. An atlas of diamond crystals of different nature is presented.

For a wide range of geologists, mineralogists and crystallographers, as well as for specialists in other fields of science and technology, who study diamonds and artificially obtain them.
