In the office there is a two-wheel GD-1 goniometer, a photogoniometer and corresponding crystallographic reference books. GD-1 goniometer - a device for crystallographic studies of small polyhedra of minerals (setting simple shapes on crystals, etc.), optimal crystal sizes for goniometric measurements – 0.5 - 5.0 mm. Dallowable deviations of coordinate measurements φ and ρ ± 2. The faces of the crystals should be flat and shiny, since coordinate measurements are carried out along the reflected beam. Photogoniometer – a self-developed device for crystallographic studies of small mineral polyhedra, including curvilinear crystals, optimal crystal sizes for photogoniometry – 2.0 - 8.0 mm.

    Possible studies: mineral diagnostics, characterization of simple forms of crystals and their habit, other crystallographic indicators.

Appliance certification is not required.
