Department of isotope geochemistry and mass spectrometry

     Main areas of research:

1. Develops and uses isotope-geochemical methods of dating rock and ore formation processes, determines the conditions of formation of rocks and ores, depths of formation of magmatic sources and ore-generating systems, develops petrological-geochemical models of the formation and evolution of the earth's crust and isotope-geochemical criteria for mineral exploration.

2. Analysis of the regularities of the chronological distribution of greenstone and granulite-gneiss belts in the early geological history of the formation of continents, as well as the reconciliation of the regional stratigraphic scheme of the Precambrian of Ukraine with the International Geochronological Scale.
